Old Vine Series is a range of characterful wines that are irreplicable and unique from old vines in the southern part of central Chile. Limávida comes from an old vineyard planted in 1945. It is just 2.3 hectares in size and is mainly planted with Malbec, with a little Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon. Great ageing potential.
Variety: Field blend of 85% Malbec and 25% other varieties (Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon).
Origin: Limávida, Maule Valley.
Climate: Temperate Mediterranean.
Soil: Decomposed granite with some clay.
Ageing: In 5,000-litre foudres.
