VIGNO is a Carignan from an old, 4.5-hectare vineyard planted in 1955. It is a complex wine with great ageing potential that shows all the promise of this classic variety from Maule. Our VIGNO is one of the wines grouped under Vignadores de Carignan, an association of producers that seeks to boost this traditional variety.
Variety: Field blend of 85% Carignan and 15 % other varieties (Malbec, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere).
Origin: La Aguada, in Sauzal, Maule Valley.
Climate: Temperate Mediterranean.
Soil: Decomposed granite with some clay.
Ageing: In 5,000-litre foudres.
